Products
A product becomes selectable only when every certification, material and
voltage it permits has an approved rule with a compatible actuator.
Drawing identity
What issued drawings claim. An unset organisation prints
ORGANISATION NOT CONFIGURED rather than looking finished.
The same file is used in the header, the SVG sheet and the PDF.
Vector files are not accepted: they cannot be embedded in the PDF, and a logo
that worked on screen but not on an issued drawing would be worse than none.
Add a product
Copying takes each rule with the same certification and material from the
chosen product. The copies arrive unapproved; combinations with no match start blank.
A new product starts in draft and cannot calculate until its rule matrix is approved.
Engineering rules
Limits, torque rates, actuator variants and the approval record for each
product, certification and material. Prices are held here and never sent to a normal user.
Workbook import and export
Keep the figures in a workbook instead of typing them here. The
Actuators sheet lists each actuator model once, with supplier, voltage, torque and
price. The Configurations sheet has one row per product configuration; its
Certification and Material cells may list several values, or * for all, so
combinations with the same figures are one row. Download the current rules to start from
them. Importing shows what would change and saves nothing until you apply it.
Unsaved changes
Calculation form defaults
What a new selection starts with. A default is filled into the form when it
is opened or reset; whoever enters the case can change any of it, and what they send is
what is saved.
Existing cases are never touched. The server does not apply a
default to a calculation or to a saved case, so changing one here cannot re-run,
re-price or alter anything that already exists — including the revision history.
Clearing a default leaves the field empty for new entries and keeps the record of who
cleared it.
Users
An account is edited in place: change its role, reset its password, or make
it inactive. An inactive account cannot sign in and keeps everything it has ever done.
Removing an account is the only act that loses its history.
